We Cause Scenes, a doc on Charlie Todd, to premiere at SXSW
A prank collective ten years in the making, Improv Everywhere has grown from a few close-knit 22-year-olds staging guerrilla pranks on the streets to a global phenomenon incorporating hundreds of thousands of strangers. From the “No Pants Subway Ride” to the “Grand Central Freeze”, Improv Everywhere’s public scenes of chaos and joy have inspired pranksters all around the world.
CHARLIE TODD JOINS ÜBER CONTENT
After graduating from UNC at Chapel Hill, Charlie founded the comedic performance group Improv Everywhere in 2001, the same year he joined with the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City. With the help of his fellow UCB friends, Charlie began organizing collective public pranks of “chaos and joy,” which utilized a hybrid of spontaneous humor and crowd participation to entertain, shock and spread happiness.
